This life size sculpture of a Pipistrelle bat is cast in bronze. It's wings are folded up in this pose. The photo with the coins gives you an idea of size (5.5 cm nose to tail), showing this piece on the right and another sculpture of a Pipistrelle with wings slightly unfolded on the left.
Some small variation in colouring from piece to piece occurs due to the nature of the patination process, the photos show typical results.
These bats have a hole in the back to hang up on a small nail or screw. They're fine to go outside, but I'd recommend an adhesive in the hole, such as araldite, to stick them to the nail head.
