The red eyed tree frog, Agalychnis callidryas, is an iconic species of the tropical forests of Central America and north-western South America.
I've sculpted both male and female, the photos of the pair together show the difference in size, the male being considerably smaller.
The photo with the frogs posed next to a £1 coin give a good idea of the size of the sculpture. The male at approximately 5cm nose to tail and the female at 7cm representing life sized sculptures of adults of both sexes.
Considerable effort and experimentation has gone into developing these patinations, representing the vivid colouring of this species. I have also produced the same sculpture as a classic bronze (listed elsewhere) for connoisseurs of the pure sculptural form.
